Creating Tasks on Rental Transaction screen

In Viberent, you can assign Tasks for staff based on individual item lines on rental transaction screen. In certain industries, it is very common for equipment to be assigned to rental jobs along with people which then need to be scheduled.  All the scheduling is done using the Resource Calendar.

You can start assigning tasks on rental screen after a rental transaction is created and saved.  After saving a rental, you will notice a purple + icon appears on each line.  If a task is assigned to a rental line, the + icon will be shown in green colour. See sample screenshot below.

Click the + icon to create new task (purple) or edit existing one (green).

Create New Task

Click the purple + icon.  You will see the Task popup screen.

Using this screen, user can:

  • Assign tasks for staff / customer
  • Create generic task (eg request forklift)
  • Use Task Template to assign standard tasks for the rental line

Assign Tasks for Staff/Customer

  • User can assign the task to be for either Delivery part or Return part of the rental line.
  • Specify Task start date, End date and duration (defaults to values as specified in the rental line)
  • Specify Task description (defaults to Item name).

Create Generic Task

User can create a generic task that may / may not involve a staff.  So the user can create a task to be shown on calendar as per sample below.  If a staff is involved in the task, then their details can be included.

Use Task Template

You can create templated tasks that can be reused any number of times. Such tasks can have staff already allocated to the tasks. Therefore these will be pre-populated with staff and other details.
