Overcome email delivered to spam/junk folder
Include Viberent in Your SPF Record
To help your emails reach your recipients' inboxes, include Viberent in an SPF record for your
domain.
SPF (Sender Policy Framework) is an email authentication method that helps protect against email
spoofing and unauthorized use of your domain. By including "_spf.viberenthq.com" in your SPF
record, you allow Viberent to send email on behalf of your domain, thus ensuring that legitimate
emails sent from our servers are properly authenticated.
A sender policy framework (SPF) record is a type of DNS TXT record that lists all the servers
authorized to send emails from a particular domain.
To add Viberent to your SPF record, follow the instructions below:
- Access your DNS management console or contact your domain registrar or DNS provider.
- Locate the section for managing your DNS records, usually called something like "DNSsettings" or "DNS management."
- Look for an existing SPF record or create a new one if you don't have one already. SPFrecords are usually designated with a TXT or SPF record type.
- Edit the existing SPF record or create a new TXT record to add "include:_spf.viberenthq.com"to the record. If you are editing an existing record, separate each part of the record with aspace.
Example existing SPF record:
v=spf1 include:spf.protection.outlook.com ~all
Example SPF record with Viberent added (before the final "all" entry):
v=spf1 include:spf.protection.outlook.com include:spf.viberenthq.com ~all
- Save the changes to update your SPF record.
By correctly configuring your SPF record, you enhance email deliverability, reduce the chances of your legitimate emails being marked as spam, and improve the overall security and reputation of your domain. Please contact our support team if you require further assistance with these settings.
If you have enabled DMARC in your domain, here is a suggested DMARC rule you could use to avoid the delivery problems:
This will tell receivers to not quarantine the emails, but instead just report DMARC inconsistencies to the email address specified (ie dmarc@<yourdomain>). This email address can be changed.
