Extend Rental Contracts

You can extend posted rental contracts in Viberent using the extend function.

Note: you can only extend posted rental contracts. If the contract is un-posted, you can simply open the contract and update the end date on each line item or in bulk using the "bulk update" button.

To perform an extension, open the Rental screen, select the correct rental number.

Click the More Options dropdown at the bottom and click the "Extend" text.

A pop-up window will appear asking if you would like to extend the entire agreement of individual items on the agreement.

If you choose to perform an "item wise" extension, you can update the end date of the individual lines to be extended on the rental. If you choose "whole agreement" extension - Viberent will update the end date of all line items on the rental.

Following extension, Viberent will create a new "un-posted" invoice in the Invoice History tab and manage posting screen for the extended items as shown below;

When you are ready to invoice your customer for the extension period - simply click post!.
